Dr. Stephanie Morphet, known on the stage as The Flying Brain, is America's Indigenous hair hang artist (Shawnee).  Her original career was molecular biology, but in four years as a performer she has worked with nationally and internationally touring circuses such as Garden Brothers’ Circus, Great Benjamin’s Circus, The Vampire Circus (Live Entertainment 305), Shoestring Circus, Loomis Bros Circus, Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, Q Productions, and Omnium Circus. 

The Flying Brain performs aerial hoop and hula hoops, although her greatest joy is performing and sharing the magical art of hair hang.  You may have also seen her on the TV screen as a competitor on season 2 of TBS’ Go-Big Show.  In 2022, The Brain co-produced New York City's 1st all Indigenous variety show with Bindlestiff Family Cirkus and acquired a Guinness World Record!  She is also a board member of the American Youth Circus Organization (AYCO) and the American Circus Educators (ACE) organizations, chair of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice committee, and a member of the American Circus Alliance (ACA).
